Topaz is the birthstone of November. The name Topaz is said to come from the ancient Sanskrit word for fire “tapas”.
Topaz is a beautiful and durable gemstone that can be worn every day. On the Mohs scale of hardness it is an eight with only Sapphires and Diamonds above it.

Topaz occurs in a variety of colours from a golden yellow, orange, romantic pink, blue or colourless Topaz known as Silver Topaz. Each colour of Topaz is given different attributes.
Golden Topaz is a symbol of the sun. The vibrant yellow tone of this gemstone inspires a positive outlook on life and wearing Golden Topaz at night will keep nightmares away.
Imperial Pink Topaz was first discovered in Russia during the 18th century and named for the Russian Czar. Pink Topaz was exclusively worn by royal family and it was a favourite of the Russian princesses. Pink Topaz is loved for its romantic colour and worn as a symbol of joy.
