Happy clients -> happy ANPA

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

Congratulations to Alwyn & Bryony!!! And thank you for sending these lovely photos and feedback:

Hi Andreas,

Thank you so much for designing our stunning wedding bands and my engagement ring.
We received many compliments on them and I have spread the word about your talented designing.

I have attached some photo’s of the bands and the wedding, the pic of the bands should definitely be high res enough for you to put on your website.

Thanks again, Bryony

Peridot from Arizona

Monday, February 9th, 2009

Peridot with its olive green colour, ranging from yellow hues into the blues must be one of the most popular semi precious gemstones around. This trend seems to prevail not only in South Africa but around the globe as availability of good quality and size is scarce and prices are constantly on the rise.

So I am pleased as pie that we have sourced some outstanding quality, facetted peridot beads (drilled gemstones for earring and necklace designs)  from the Apache reservation in Arizona. They are close to flawless and offer the perfect olive green colour we all so look for in peridot. Several different shapes are available, including some unusual ones.I will soon turn them into some gorgeous jewellery designs. If you are interested in the beads as such or would want anything specific made, please contact us soon.

Bespoke jewellery

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

With mass produced jewellery dominating the markets, for many bespoke jewellery is something of the past, but strangely enough the economic crisis sweeping the planet seems to turn this around. With our purses being less filled, our taste becomes more discerning, our demand for quality and uniqueness grows and this is where bespoke jewellery arrives just in time.

According to recent developments in the jewellery world, studios and jewellery stores that offer a bespoke service are in the increase with quite a few offering a bespoke service only, without any collections on display

Being manufacturing jewellers that offer a bespoke service ourselves, we are obviously pleased that people return and appreciate the beauty of a unique, handcrafted piece whether it is an engagement ring or a statement piece.

It does take time and commitment from both sides – the client as well as the jeweller.

It is a process (but a seriously rewarding one)! We work by appointment to ensure that sufficient time is available to select gemstones and develop a design.

Considering the grand reward of a uniquely crafted piece of jewellery it is a small effort to make…

Wedding Bands | Mark & Julia

Thursday, January 15th, 2009

It’s always lovely to receive feedback and photos from clients, specially if the  wedding bands we made went as far as Germany. So on the left the happy couple on the day he proposed in South Africa and on the right the wedding bands (stunning rings made in the mokume gane technique) finally “in action”. Congratulations!
